Recently, some of the Green. ANVIL. team spent the afternoon at South Eveleigh for the Master Builders NSW Florence Luncheon. The theme was Constructing a New Perspective, and it brought together women from across the building and construction industry for an afternoon of conversation, connection and inspiration.

Why we were there

We’ve spent the past few years working to balance out our team. On average in NSW, women make up around 14 percent of the workforce across the construction industry. Put another way, roughly one in seven people working in the industry is a woman. At Green. ANVIL., women make up 22 percent of the company, with our office being an even 50%.

We are a small team, and one company does not move an industry on its own. But change gets built the same way everything else does, one decision at a time. Hiring well, backing good people and turning up to rooms like this one is part of how the picture starts to shift. Thanks to Master Builders NSW, and to the team for having us, and to everyone we met on the day
