Revitalising a grand Georgian estate in Sydney’s Upper North Shore.
Green. ANVIL. was engaged to deliver the build of a design by Alexander & Co., bringing modern amenity and period character together in a significant restoration within a tightly held dress-circle neighbourhood. The project centred on the sensitive renovation of a Georgian-style, two-storey residence, carefully transforming a heritage estate into a refined six-bedroom, four-bathroom family home. New formal lounge, dining and wine rooms were introduced to reinforce the home’s original sense of order and occasion, while the existing kitchen was completely reworked and opened into a generous new living space, creating a seamless connection between formal and informal zones. Particular care was taken throughout construction to respect original proportions, detailing and structure, while discreetly integrating contemporary services, finishes and construction methods to meet the demands of modern family living.
