We offer both design-and-construct and construct-only delivery. If you have an architect engaged, we build from their drawings. If not, we manage the design process ourselves. Either way, we’re involved from the initial site visit through design management, authority applications, build, and handover.
Green. ANVIL. builds for architects, interior designers, business owners, developers, and property investors on commercial projects where quality of execution matters. If you’re after a boutique builder who takes the detail seriously and keeps the director on the job, we’re that firm.
What types of commercial construction projects does Green. ANVIL. handle in Sydney?
We specialise in restaurant and bar fitouts, and heritage commercial buildings. We also deliver office fitouts and refurbishments, and retail and showroom fitouts. We focus on architect-designed work and complex fitouts where craft and detail matter.
Do you offer design-and-construct, or do you only build from architect’s drawings?
We offer both. On design-and-construct projects, we manage the full process from initial design through to handover, including authority applications. On construct-only projects, we work from your architect or interior designer.. We advise on which approach suits your project at the first meeting.
How long does a commercial fitout or renovation take in Sydney?
It depends on your project. A straightforward tenancy fitout typically runs 6-12 weeks. For restaurant fit-outs, a typical timeline is 10-16 weeks. For a café you could be up and running within 4-6 weeks. A more complex project involving heritage work, structural changes, or a full refurbishment can take 4-9 months. We provide a realistic programme at the quoting stage.
What is the difference between a DA and a CDC?
A Development Application (DA) goes through local council and is required for larger, more complex, or heritage-affected commercial works. A Complying Development Certificate (CDC) is faster and suits projects that meet specific planning codes. Heritage projects almost always need a DA. We advise which pathway applies from the start.
Do you manage the DA and a CDC application process?
Authority applications are typically managed by the project architect or planner where engaged on a project. We coordinate closely with them throughout the process and can manage lodgement directly if required.
How long does the CDC application take?
Timeframes differ by council area, however, on average a CDC can be approved in as little as 10 business days once a compliant application is lodged.
How long does the DA process take?
A development application (DA) is a longer process due to the complexity of the project. A typical timeframe allows 3-6 months.
Do you handle projects in heritage-listed commercial buildings?
Yes. Heritage commercial building works are a core part of our work, particularly in the CBD, wider City of Sydney, Inner West and Eastern Suburbs. We work with heritage consultants alongside your architect or design team to navigate consent requirements and deliver within those constraints.
